Research services to discover marine natural products
EUREMAP is optimising a catalogue of advanced research services to enable a marine bioprospecting pipeline for both academia and industry. This service pipeline is a key tool to support the discovery of new bioactive natural products from marine organisms by utilising novel technology.
A service pipeline born of complementary expertise
Though European Research Infrastructures (RIs) and their local partner sites offer marine bioprospecting services, there is currently no single RI that offers users a comprehensive set of services in this area. EUREMAP is the first attempt to build a sustainable, comprehensive and integrated cross-RI pipeline, bringing together the complementary expertise of each RI – from chemical biology and drug biology to data science – to create synergies. This matrix provides a clear and detailed overview of the critical steps of the EUREMAP marine bioprospection pipeline.
